The Yes Men
What do you think when you see a person holding candles in front of a crowd? Your first reaction is probably that something has happened and they are going to maybe say a few words about a person or something that might have happened. Taking a minute to dissect the picture first of all the man holding the candles looks pretty well dressed. He is in front of a podium and immediately you think he must be speaking to at least a somewhat large crowd. He must be standing up from everyone else as well possibly being on a stage also the way he is looking makes it look as though he is looking down upon the crowd. If you notice his face he doesn’t look very sincere for a person holding candles he almost seems to be somewhat grinning it’s hard to tell but it looks to me that he must be doing something that in fact isn’t very sincere but rather amusing in nature. He is also holding the candles while speaking which is showing that these candles might be being used for some kind of symbol or being used as some sort of example. You could say that the candles are then maybe being used to get a point across about something. At a closer inspection the candles he seem to be holding are not the usually shape of regular candles and are somewhat disfigured looking in nature and are not what many people would expect to see from a candle. If you look carefully you also see a laptop on the table beside him he must be doing something with the computer or possibly doing a PowerPoint slide especially for the way he is dressed. From this picture you also notice the water bottles you ask yourself why does it matter that there are water bottles on the table along with glasses upside down. He must be presenting something especially if he needs that much water. You then start thinking maybe he isn’t alone and the gentleman standing next to him is with him. The gentlemen to the right of him seems to be focused on the gentleman presenting so you might automatically assume that the two are associated with each other mainly by the fact that they are standing so close to one another. Normally someone being introduced or being thanked towards the end of a presentation will wait until the speaker is finished speaking to get up and say something additional. The fact that the man is standing near the presenter almost guarantees that he must in fact be with the man holding the candles. You also notice the podium they are standing at has the words Calgary Stampede written on the front of it which would ultimately assume that this presentation or whatever is going on, is in fact taking place in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
